If you want to see change, start by changing the story.

If you want to see change, start by changing the story.

Stories shape our beliefs, influence our behaviors and inspire us to embrace change.

I work with a narrative approach to coach leaders, teams and companies find their stories for desired impact.

About

About

I’m Lena Barner-Rasmussen and I believe in the power of stories to inspire us get where we want to go. Originally trained as an economist, I went into journalism because I was so curious about how the world really works. Now, 25 years later, I’m still curious about how the world really works but now, having worked over 10 years consulting companies and startups and leading a creative and culturally-diverse team, I’m even more curious about how people really work. What drives us, what comes in the way for our dreams, why do we resist change, how do we take agency, how do we maintain motivation?

I founded Oddly to help my clients develop a clear vision of where they want to go and define the needed actions to get there using narratives as the main tool. By creating a narrative around our goals, we become equipped to focus on what’s important and can align our actions with long-term objectives. When we as leaders have that vision, it’s easier to engage our team.

Narrative, or stories, are inherently motivating. When we view our efforts contributing to a meaningful story, it becomes easier to stay committed, even when the going gets tough.

As a journalist I asked curious questions to write a story. Today I ask curious questions to help my clients find theirs. Oddly enough, the real story is usually hiding behind what we think we know.

  • reason out loud to navigate complex situations or decide on a direction when you’re at a crossroads.
  • change beliefs and behaviours to help you create desired impact.

Group coaching & Facilitation
